The Archaic Necropolis (Necropoli Arcaica) is part of the Roman Forum complex and it stands to the right of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina; this cemetery, used by the first inhabitants of the Palatine Hill, consists of about 30 shaft tombs and pit graves of which: seven, with hut-shaped urn and vase with reticulated pattern, dating back to the first Latium stages (between the end of the X century BC and the beginning of the IX century BC); fifteen that date back to the second Latium period (between the IX century BC and the VIII century BC), of which more than half are of pit-shaped kind. The furnishings found in this site are housed in the Antiquarium of the Forum.
