Image of the Baths of Trajan
The remains of the Baths of Trajan are situated inside the Oppian Hill gardens; on the left side of the Serapide and Mizzi avenues it is still possible to admire part of the apse of a hall and the exedra of the gymnasia on the eastern side of the complex. The Baths were built in opus latericium and partially covered an area previoulsy occupied by the Domus Aurea; the complex consisted of a main building surrounded by an enclosure with an exedra; the baths also included a massive cistern made up of nine communicating rooms with vaulted ceilings.

Location: Rione Monti (Monti District)
